First of all, hereunder an email received from member Paul Smith:
Hi Salvador,
Just a quick note to yourself, Daniel, our Chairman, Neil Snow and all others who helped and supported the Club's exhibition at the recent NEC Classic Car Show. Devoting three days to such an event is a big commitment and has to be acknowledged and applauded. Andrea and I were made to feel very welcome by Daniel, our Chairman, yourself and Neil Snow, who's car took pride of place on the stand and looked absolutely magnificent.. For me the highlight of the day was seeing Neil invite a young lad to "sit in his car and try it for size". The smile on the teenage’s face was enormous and confirmed the fact that seeds had been sown. Many thanks to all involved, your efforts do much to keep the car in the eyes of the public and so help maintain interest and values- something we all benefit from.
Paul Smith
Many thanks Andrea and Paul for all your kind comments which are very much appreciated. There is no doubt that the qOC presence at the NEC is very positive indeed not only for the Club, the membership but also the status of the quattro going forward.
The organisers gave us a different stand in hall 5, this year no visitor could miss us. Friday 21/03 were present: Daniel, Justin Evans, Roger and Salvador. Unfortunately Neil wasn’t able to stay for family reasons. We had quite a busy morning for a Friday. On Saturday Neil (white quattro on display) was back and Justin went back south. Again another full day particularly in the morning. During these 2 days a few members came to see us, duly signed the form and got their qOC free pen, thanks for coming. On Sunday our historian Phil and technical advisor Darron popped in to say hello and, again another busy day. See you at the NEC in November.
